Onigiri is the Japanese word for rice balls. The artist Yoko Yagihara packs her things and embarks on a journey through Austria and Japan.
She explores not only the “essence” of the culinary specialities of the countries, but also the taste of the word “home”. Together with Yoko, the audience experiences a poetic journey full of surprising stories.
“Onigiri” is an Austrian-Japanese pilot project. It serves to expand our intercultural artistic skills and is an experimental contribution towards East-West communication.
